Day 22 - A day of mixed emotions, both happy and sad!

As mentioned in the title of this blog post, it’s a mixed emotions day for us, both happy and sad! Well, we were happy as we had lots of fun today, but sad as Dr Lau is leaving Wuhan tmrL It’s the last day he will be with us in Wuhan. Nevertheless, we will still get to meet him 2 weeks later, at the Changi Airport.
Hmm. Where should I start from?
Well, today’s lecture was only a recap of the topics we learnt for the past 3 weeks. Dr Lau also gave a short introduction to the topic, Urinary System which will be taught tmr. We had a recap for what we learnt in OIE lectures too. Lecture ended early today!
Carol, Dion, Eddy, Yan Fang and I went to 建设七路 for shopping after that. We walked all the way there and I guess it took about an hour! Sadly, there weren’t much things for us to buy, probably because we went there at the wrong timing. I heard that the best timing for shopping at 建设七路is actually in the late evening or even at night, except that it would be very crowded. Well, I came back empty-handed. Haha! We might want to go back to the place someday before we leave Wuhan!
The notebook prepared for Dr Lau. It's full of wishes by us! :D

The five of us in front of the building. This photo was taken by the students from MDE. We saw them on the way and so, we helped each other for photo-taking! :D

We then made our way back to our dorms before leaving for the farewell dinner with Dr Lau at 4pm. Since most of us were quite full at that time, we went to a bookstore along 建设三路. The bookstore sells all sorts of books, all in Chinese. I gave up when I flipped the pages. Haha! I guess I have no patience to read those books. Some of us bought books! After that, we proceeded to the Greenery Café. However, the restaurant was really crowded. We had no choice but to head back to the campus before coming back again when there’s enough tables to fit 22 of us. Dr Lau left his contact number for the waitress to contact us when the tables they reserved for us are ready.
We then headed back to our classroom to have our discussion on the Cultural Exchange Performance, which will be held next Wednesday, after our Common Test. At around 7pm, Dr Lau received a call from Greenery Café, telling us that the places are available for us then. We then headed to the restaurant.
We had lots of fun today, chatting and laughing! I guess we might have cause a disturbance to other customers since we were asked to lower down our volume by a waitress. Anyway, that’s not the main point. The most important thing is that we enjoyed ourselves! :D

Finally, it’s time for goodbye. We sent our warmest regards to Dr Lau before he left. It was a really memorable day for us!
Reflection: We felt really sad that Dr Lau is leaving Wuhan! We will definitely miss his lessons and his jokes. He really takes the effort to interact with everyone, making this OIP trip much more enjoyable and fun! I shall not mention much here as I had written what I wanted to say in the book we prepared for Dr Lau. Lastly, I just want to say a big THANK YOU to Dr Lau for making this trip possible! :D Also, for Mr Imran, Welcome to Wuhan! :D
That’s all for today! Seeya! :D
