Day 26 - Mount Wudang Day 1

It’s the day we set off for the Wudang Mountains. We were supposed to meet at 6.45am but I woke up at 6.30am! Initially, I intended not to sleep the night before but in the end, I still dozed off at about 5am. So, I quickly washed up, get changed, packed my stuffs and left in a hurry without bringing my earpieceL No music for the next 2 days, especially during the long bus rideL Well, blame me for being such a muddle-headed person.

When everyone has gathered, we set off. The bus ride to the Wudang Mountains is about 5 hours! That was such a long journey. Well, many of us dozed off on the way. Some of us watched “Home Alone” which was shown by the tour guide.

Finally, after the long journey, we reached our destination. Had lunch at a restaurant and when we wanted to use the toilet, we realized that the cubicles are without doors! So, the four of us, Yan Fang, Sarah, Joanna from MDE and I had to do this: 1,2,3 down; 1,2,3 up. Haha! It was such a new yet fun experience! Luckily, the main door for the toilet has a lock. It was just the cubicles which are without doors and locks.

Our Lunch. We love the tomato egg!:)

This is the toilet i was mentioning. Cubicles without doors.

After lunch, we went for a tour around Mount Wudang. We visited 3 of their tourist attractions and I must say the bus ride was super thrilling and fun, especially for me who has tried the front seat. We felt as if we were taking a roller coaster ride. This is however, not for people with motion sickness.

Spot the mistake?

My ticket to enter the various tourist attractions at Mount Wudang.

We had to go through this gantry using the thumbprint identification method. This is advanced technology! :)

Our first destination, 太子坡.

Paintings! :)

There is actually a dragon statue in the pail of water. Refer to the next photo for more information on how this works.

This board is saying that Dragon represents prosperity, peace, power etc. So what we have to do is to toss a coin and try to aim at the dragon. If it lands on the head or in the mouth of the dragon, it means that your business will prosper. If it lands on the body on the dragon, it signifies peace for family members. I managed to get it land on the body of the dragon! :)

This lady is preparing tea for us to try.

The set of tea-making apparatus.

Tea Leaves. The lady told us that after you taste the tea, you could drink some mineral water. You will find that the mineral water taste sweet.

Me. Haha! We are all posing with the statue.

Look at the flight of stairs!

Yan Fang.

"Chilli-tree" It's actually a tree full of wishes by others. You will have to buy the red cloth with wishes on it, then attach a rock and throw it up onto the tree.

Does this scene looks familiar? I heard from Yan Fang that this might be the place they used to film for a scene in the Karate Kid. Remember the scene where there's a lady using kungfu and try to imitate the snake's actions? :)

Paranomic shot.

After the tour, we proceeded to the hotel which we will be staying for one night. We had dinner before checking in. The room was really cosy! Carol and I shared a room and we were lucky to get the larger room! We had a desktop in our room too! J Just right, I need to go online to settle some online shopping stuffs. The desktop was of great help. After settling down, we went to a nearby supermarket to buy some biscuits etc. for us to munch on if we are hungry the next day.

This is the hotel we would be staying for 1 night.

The bathroom. There's a toilet bowl! :D

Looks comfy right? :)

This ended the day and I slept early today, at 12am. Haha! Usually, I will sleep later than that.

Well, tomorrow will be the day for us to conquer Mount Wudang! Hope that all of us would be able to reach the top of the Mountains. I’m looking forward to tmr! :D
