Day 28 - Friendly kids

It’s the 28th day I have been staying here in Wuhan, meaning that I have been staying here for 4 weeks already! Can you believe it? Time flies! 6 more days and I’ll be going back to Singapore. Anyway, we received a phone call from the online shopping delivery man and we got some of our stuffs! To be exact, Jasmin, Cindy and Yan Fang and Hana got their stuffs but not me. Haha! I’m still waiting for their arrival. Hope they will deliver it soon!

After that, I went to Yan Fang and Sarah’s room to discuss and make the last amendments for the presentation which will take place later in the afternoon. At about 1pm, we proceeded to our classroom to have our presentations! Well, every group did on the different topics and my group chose the Digestive system. It was pretty alright.

We went for lunch before meeting up to discuss the details and learn the dance moves for the cultural exchange performance. We practiced the dance moves over and over until we were able to grab hold of it. After a few hours, we went to 堕落街 to buy dinner. That’s our favourite place for buying delicious food! We tried the 蛋仔 as well. It’s something like a waffle or pancake and it tastes delicious!

While waiting, 3 kids came towards us and chatted with us. They were amazed by the language we spoke and thought that we might not be the locals. They are really funny as they tried to ask us questions about our country. I guess they were excited as they seldom see foreigners around. Surprisingly, when we took out our cameras, they wanted to take photos with us. Haha! Below are some photos taken with them.

The 3 kids. They look so alike. At first, we thought they were brothers, especially the 2 at the side. But, they are actually good friends instead. The boy in red is only 6 and a half years old!

Reflections: We had lots of fun interacting with the kids today. They were really bubbly and welcoming. They even asked if we could stay and play with them. Why do we only get to meet them now, when it’s already the last week? Haha! Anyway, we really hope to see them again! J
