Today is one of the best days we had in Wuhan. It’s the day for our Cultural Performance! Everyone gathered in the classroom in the morning at around 10.30am to rehearse for the performance which will take place later in the evening at around 7pm. Well, it was quite fun learning the dance steps and watching the skit. As time goes by, we started to feel nervous due to the lack of time to prepare for this Cultural Exchange Performance. At last, we managed to put everything together in time and had our final rehearsal before proceeding to the hall for performance.

The cultural performance started off with a fan dance by the local students. They did a great job.
First performance by the MDE students. It is an introduction to the ethnic costumes in Singapore. Look at the costumes they are wearing!
A skit put up by the local students.
Introduction to Cultural Games in Singapore. This is another item put up by the MDE students.
This group lost in the competition with another group for a cultural game they played. They did the Chicken Dance as a forfeit. Haha! :)
MDE girls dancing Nobody by Wondergirls. They did a great job as well! :)
Here's another skit by the local students. Some parts were quite hard for us to catch as their Chinese were really good :P
A local student singing and playing the piano at the same time. She definitely has the talent!
Puppet show introducing the history of Singapore. It was indeed a creative performance.
Mass singing by the MDE students. They sang the national day song, Home. All of a sudden, it reminded us of Sinagpore, our homeland and everyone sang along. I must agree it's one of the best and most touching national day song.
Finally, performance by us, LSCT! :) This photo shows the taxi scene, one of the most amusing scenes in the skit! Haha! :)
After our performance, everyone felt so relieved and I could see happy faces everywhere. Our hard work really paid off and we were all so glad that we had put up a great performance!
We then went back to our classroom for group photos and to watch the video of our performance. Mr Imran took a video but his camera battery went flat halfway. Luckily, Yan Fang has a backup video as she passed her camera to one of the MDE students before our performance.

Reflections: Due to time constraint, we had very little time to practice and before we know it, the day for the Cultural Exchange Performance has arrived. The preparing process was really tough because our performance consists of skit, two hip hop dances and two NDP dances/sing-along which involve the participation of the whole class. Although we met many obstacles here and there, I am proud to say that all of us have overcome it and did a great job. This performance is made possible because of everyone’s involvement and effort! Good Job guys and girls! :D
After the performance tonight, I suddenly realized that my handphone was not with me. I was so scared and worried! I searched through my bag and my pocket but could not find it. Then, I told Jas Min about it and she accompanied me back to the hall where we had our Cultural Exchange Performance. Luckily, there were some local students who were still there cleaning up the room. Betty was there too. We told them the situation and they immediately helped us to look for it around the hall. They were really kind and friendly. They even accompanied us to take the route we took back to the classroom to search for my handphone. As it was very dark by then, we depended on the light from their handphones. Meanwhile, Jas Min was spamming calls so that we could locate my handphone. Usually, my handphone is on silent mode so it was really tough to find. Finally, we reached the classroom and at that moment, I thought my handphone was gone and I had no chance of getting it back. The whole class was watching video and I told them “I think I lost my phoneL”. Suddenly, Carol told me “Your phone is over there. You left it on my table to charge it just nowJ” I was so glad and blamed myself for being such a muddle-headed person. I really cannot imagine what will happen if I lost my handphone in China. I will be so lost, unable to contact my family and friends, unable to receive calls from the delivery man who will send us the things we bought online. I really appreciate the help I received from the local students, as well as Jas Min for helping me find my handphone! THANK YOU VERY MUCH! :D
