It’s finally the day of departure to Wuhan. We were told to meet at Changi Airport at 11am for our flight which was scheduled at 1.25pm. Upon reaching, my awesome classmates have already reached and they were there to send us off. It’s so nice of them to actually make their way down to the airport just to send us off. Thanks peeps! They bought chocolates for us too! Also, we took a class photo. Here it goes.

We checked in our luggage and surprisingly, my luggage weighs only 12.2kg, which was considered quite light. I was worrying about it being too heavy at first.
My grandma, mummy and brother accompanied me to the airport. This photo was taken before entering the departure hall.
Waiting for our turn to enter the departure gate
While waiting for the flight to Guang Zhou Airport, we took some photos at the waiting area.

At around 12.25pm, we boarded the plane. My flight partners were Hana and Rani. I'm so lucky to sit beside someone I already knew! Haha! :D

Back of the seat.
The bad thing about China Southern Airlines is that there isn’t any individual tv! :(
Hana, Rani and I were reading this note on the safety instructions and we realized something funny. It goes like this: If you are seated in the Exit seats, you may be asked to open the exit and assist our crew members in the event of an emergency. Please ask to be reseated if you DO NOT WISH TO HELP OTHERS.

My lunch.
Look at those fluffy clouds! They look like marshmallows! :D

Nice Scenery!
I realized something different about the views from airplane for both China and Singapore. For China, I prefer the scenery in the afternoon whereas for Singapore, it’s nicer at night when the lights are on.
Collecting our luggage.
International to domestic transfer.
It's 6:08pm when we have our luggage checked in for the domestic flight later in the night.
The helpers at the Bai Yun Domestic Airport are so violent when it comes to handling of the luggage. They simply pick up the luggage and threw it on the conveying belt, where the luggage pass through for a check. Most probably, Jasmin's luggage was a victim of their acts since part of it was damaged.
Look at how unorganized the wires were.
Free ride provided.
A grand piano at the café. It looks so angelic.
A 24-hour operated fast-food restaurant named Kung Fu.

Are they selling rabbit dishes? Don’t worry, they are not (:

We finally reached the hostel at around 1.30am. Here's our room, room 223. I will be staying here with Jasmin and Cindy for the next 5 weeks.
My messy table.
My bed. And yes, I'm charging my laptop.

Reflections: Before embarking on this journey, we were told that the tap water in China is not safe for consumption. Unlike in Singapore, we are unable to drink the water from the running tap. It is only fit for consumption after it’s boiled. It dawned on me that Singaporeans are really fortunate to have plentiful supply of safe-drinking water and we should be thankful for it. Water is precious!
