It’s already my 7th day here in Wuhan. One week has passed! Time flies. I could still remember clearly that we set off last Tuesday, arriving Wuhan and was complaining about the weather, the food, the traffic and even the toilet in our dorms. Haha! We are the complain kings and queens. Now, one week has passed and I realized that most of us are getting used to the lifestyle here. Anyway, we had our 2nd OIE lesson today. It was boring! I wonder how many students actually managed to stay awake throughout the whole lecture:P After what seemed like eternity, we finally had our 10min break. During the break, most of us rested. The lecture resumed after 10-15 min and finally ended after an hour plus.
Having our 2nd OIE lecture.
Lunch bought at the small canteen.
We had our lunch before departing to the new campus of the Wuhan University of Science and Technology(WUST). The ride from the old campus which we are currently staying at is about 1 hour plus, so most of us took the opportunity to take a nap in the bus. Finally, we reached the new campus and were brought on a tour around the school in bus since the school was really huge. Here are some of the photos taken on bus.

When we reached the main entrance, we were warmly welcomed by the local students from the campus. Everyone was friendly and greeted us warmly upon our arrival. We felt as if we are some VIPs. Haha! We then took a group photo and interacted with some of the local students.
We alighted from the bus and were warmly welcomed by the local students. They are really nice and friendly!:)

We visited their specimen hall and the specimens amazed us! I was told by one of the local student that they actually have a course which teaches students the process of embalmment. The specimens were either from the prisoners, those who are willing to donate their bodies after death and those who suffer from diseases. They would carry out embalmment and treat the bodies with preservatives to prevent decay. Below are some photos taken and they are not for the faint-hearted. After that, we went into a classroom for some interactive games.

Now, it's the local students' turn to present.
One of their representatives presenting.
After all the introduction and interaction, the emcee splitted us into four groups and announced that we would need to come out with a performance after 5 min. We then brainstormed our ideas with the local students from our group.
Faith and Rani, together with two local students, singing the song "被风吹过的夏天". It was such a coincidence. We actually wanted to perform this song too! :)
Dion leading his group in singing Jay Chou's "简单爱".
My group performed Nobody by Wondergirls. It was quite awkward actually:P But i must say it's fun!:)
Eddy's and Yan Fang's group sang the song "My heart will go on" by Celine Dion, the titanic theme song.
After that, they played a Guessing game which is something similar to Charades.
The freshmen of the school having some military trainings. It was compulsory for all and from their facial expressions, they seemed serious. Even the girls had to do this too!
Some students playing basketball.

We ended the day by having dinner with the local students at their school’s canteen.
Reflection: I think it’s a really fun day today! We enjoyed ourselves really much and were able to interact with the local students. Through interaction, we know more about their life in the university. They were very welcoming too! I can sense that they really put in a lot of effort to prepare for this event, trying their best to make us feel comfortable. I really appreciate what they had done for us. Thank you, students of the WUST! :D
