More shops.
I heard from the rest that the food from this halal ramen house are delicious!
Look at their wires! Unlike Singapore, they have overhead wires right here in China.
After lunch, we went back to have our physiology lesson. Today’s focus was on homeostasis, which means maintaining a balance. I find it quite interesting. Dr Lau showed us a video too. It’s about a lady who fell off from a cliff. Although she had serious injuries and bled profusely, she did not feel the pain. Guess why? It’s because her brain releases a substance called Endorphin which helps to relieve her pain in her injuries. It’ll not do any good to her if she continues to think about the pain. Finally, with determination, she managed to drag herself near the tracking trail. She was later discovered and rescued. After 8 operations, she was finally able to walk again. When she was interviewed, she told the media that she felt the most excruciating pain when the rescuers found her and when she was safe. This story shows that our brain can do much more than what we think. I find this story really amazing, so I decided to share it here. J
Dr Lau doing some housekeeping before starting the lesson. New rules for us being late were implemented. This is to ensure that everyone is punctual, so as to protray a good image for NP. Punctuality is important in China. If we are late for every 5 min, we'll be fined for 5RMB. Dr Lau wanted to be fair, so for him, it'll be double. So, let's all try not to be late! Also, group leaders for LSCT were finalized. For BMS, they are Kimberly and Eddy. For MBIO, they are Pei Wen and Melissa. :D
During the 10min break, everyone was feeling so tired and so, we rested. Here’s the evidence.
Everyone was feeling so tired!
Cindy and Jasmin playing a prank on me while i was resting! Haha!

Short video Dr Lau showed us.
We were all fascinated by this "GOOD YEAR" airplane/hot air balloon. It appeared when we stepped out of the building and everyone began to take photos of it.
This car was really dusty! Probably due to the air in China. I guess the car owner didn't even bother to clean his/her car since it will be dirty after a while due to the dust in the air. It's not a common sight in Singapore as Singaporeans treat their cars as their sweethearts :D
Dusty!
Oh btw, our lessons ended at 3 plus today and we had the rest of the day free! Since the weather was quite humid, we decided to go back to our room first before going out for the shopping of our basic necessities. Around evening time, we went out for dinner, as well as to shop for cup noodles. Along the way, something really funny happened. Shall not mention about it, or else Hidayah will kill me. Haha! Just kidding! I know she won't:)
On our way to shop for necessities and have our dinner.
Tianlun Restaurant.
Cars.
Public bus.
Spot the mistake? Self-(Servfice) Banking!
We had McDonald’s for dinner. I tried their Grilled Chicken Sandwich and it was quite nice. I love the lychee float too! It’s very refreshing. Each meal ranges from about 20RMB to 30RMB.
McDonald's.
Grilled Chicken Sandwich. This is probably the best meal i've eaten in Wuhan for the past few days :P
Love this drink! It's lychee float.
In China, the McDonald’s do not provide chilli sauce. The have chilli powder though. The only sauce they have is tomato sauce. Additional ones are Italian Tomato sauce, American Barbecue sauce and Malaysia Satay Sauce, which are not found in Singapore. On our way back, we bought this Dark Chocolate McFlurry to have a taste of it. It costs 10RMB. Oh ya, the sell peach pies instead of apple pies too!
American Barbecue Sauce, Malaysia Satay Sauce & Chilli Powder. I miss the curry sauce in Singapore!

Reflections: For shopping in supermarkets in China, carriers are charged at 20cents. Unlike in Singapore, We’ll be able to get our groceries packed nicely in plastic bags by the cashiers. However, in China, you need to pay extra for the shopping bags. The cashiers will not pack the things for you too. You’ve to do it on your own. This shows that they are really environmentally friendly. I find this idea quite useful and it’s a good way to ensure that everyone can play a part by reducing the use of plastic bags.
That’s all for Day 04! Btw, It’s a free and easy day tmr! I’m looking forward to it as we will be going to some places in Wuhan for shopping. Hope we’ll be able to find suitable souvenirs and clothes to bring them back for our family members and friends. Bye!
