Day 14 - 2 weeks in Wuhan

We had our OIE lecture today at 9am. For the lecture today, it covers the first part of Chinese Philosophy and we were introduced to the phrases and sayings created by the historical poets. It seems like I'm back to having chinese lessons in Secondary Two. I could still remember memorising all these phrases and our teacher would randomly pick and test us. How scary is that? D:

Anyway, after the lesson, we had lunch at the soup shop nearby. It's definitely a good choice to have hot soups on a cold weather! :)

Here's the menu showing all the soups available in the shop.

This is the soup i had, peanut and pork ribs soup.

After lunch, Jasmin, Cindy and I went shopping at the supermarket again, to stock up some daily necessities. We also went to a book shop nearby which was introduced to me by Yan Fang. I bought quite a lot of things there, for my cousins and friends:) Oh ya! I saw this really cute pink panther which i wanted to buy for my sis, but it's the only piece left and it looked quite dirty, so i intended not to buy in the end. Haha!

We then headed back to our dorms before proceeding to the classroom for our physiology lesson. Today's lesson was about Endocrine system. As usual, we watched some videos which i find them quite interesting. We had our dinner after that and I discussed on the OIE presentation with Sarah and Yan Fang too. We were given a 20m tutorial to be done as well. So, that's basically what happened today.

This is a description on what we were supposed to do for our OIE presentation.

That's all for today! Seeya! :D

Reflection: Today's OIE lesson reminded me of the many chinese phrases i used to learn in Secondary school. It's actually quite interesting when we know what they exactly mean and the stories behind them. I learnt that almost every person in China would know those phrases and they are useful to them in situations when they are doubtful of their directions in life. They would encourage themselves by thinking of the phrases and this leads them to success.
